STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd. was founded in London in March 2001, as a subsidiary of STORZ MEDICAL AG. Longtime partner Rimmer Brothers had previously discontinued its representational activities for the United Kingdom. Paul Rimmer founded the branch but then emigrated to Australia shortly afterwards. In 2001, Peter Schmid took over the UK branch and was able to build it up locally within 5 years. He could rely on the former service employees of Rimmer Brothers, Zeki Ziya and Tristan Gallagher. Both have been with the company for many years and continue to work for STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd.
Currently, the team of STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd. consists of 4 people. Peter Schmid still manages the subsidiary from the headquarters in Switzerland. Zeki Ziya maintains the office and the spare parts warehouse, which are located in London.
Tristan Gallagher works from Bristol as a senior engineer. Rayon Clarke, who is responsible for the London area and lives there, joined STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd. in August 2022. The newest team member at STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd. is Kaveh Daneshmand, who joined the company in February 2024. Based in Leeds, he is responsible for the northern part of the UK.
